Al-masjid al Nabawi, often called the prophet mosque is a mosque located in the city of medina. As a final resting place of the prophet muhammad islam, it is considered the second holiest place in Islam by Muslims (the first is al-haram Mosque in Mecca). The mosque is under the control of a guard of two holy mosques.
