al-qiblatain mosque (masjid two qiblas) is a mosque in the medina that is historically important for Muslims as the place where the prophet Muhammad, led a prayer, is said to have been instructed to change the direction of prayer (qibla) from Jerusalem to Mecca. So unique that there are two prayer niches (mihrabs). Recently renovated the mosque, remove the old prayer niche facing Jerusalem and left the one facing Mecca.

Al-masjid al Nabawi, often called the prophet mosque is a mosque located in the city of medina. As a final resting place of the prophet muhammad islam, it is considered the second holiest place in Islam by Muslims (the first is al-haram Mosque in Mecca). The mosque is under the control of a guard of two holy mosques.

Quba mosque in remote environments medina in saudi arabia, is the oldest mosque in the world. First stones were positioned by the Islamic prophet Muhammad on the emigration from Mecca to medina city and the mosque was completed by his friend. Muhammad spent more than 20 nights in the mosque (after migrating) praying qasr (a short prayer) while waiting for Ali whose house was behind this mosque.
